We love our boyfriends dearly, but let’s face it, they do stupid little things to get under our skin so easily.
1. Video games. Lots and lots of video games. Did I mention video games?
I’m a girl who likes playing video games, having two Xbox One'ss of my own. However, I don’t play religiously. My boyfriend on the other hand….well let’s just say if he’s not at work or college, he’s gaming. Many guys thinking that girls aren’t cool with gaming because we find it boring. Nah, that’s not true. The real issue here is it annoys some of us when you play for HOURS and not talk to us really. And when we ask you to do something but you don't because you're "busy"...LOL. Also, when you’re with your squad online, omg don’t even get us started. We love you and don’t mind if you play, but when you are all looking like this GIF, I mean, we kinda feel some type of way because your attention is 90% game and 10% girlfriend and that’s not okay!
2. When they’re on their phone too much.
Alright, this is a huge pet-peeve. You have your girlfriend sitting RIGHT HERE, and you’re talking, and you just randomly pull out your phone???? I have a pet-peeve with anyone pulling out their phone, but when my boyfriend does it, it’s a new level of saltiness. We, as girlfriends, don’t mind if you go on social media, obviously. HOWEVER, when you go on it all the time or more than us, or while we’re talking, that’s where we begin to see an issue. Us as girlfriends can entertain you, you don’t need to be scrolling on your phone. Please, moderate your social media usage, boys.
3. When they’re on their game waiting with a load screen AND social media...at the same time.
I don’t even gotta say it, but if your load screen is taking a long time, HI. Your girlfriend here, ready for attention! This can be an excuse to talk to us or give us a forehead kiss. We don't ask for much.
4. When they roll over to the other side and stop cuddling you.
EXCUSE ME but who gave you permission to roll over or move and stop the cuddles? Because I sure didn’t. Nothing is more annoying than when your boyfriend cuddles the heck out of you and then just stops. That’s not okay. If you’re uncomfortable, we get it, but please move into a position that allows you to still cuddle us while you’re also comfy.
5. Too much “bro time” aka many whole days in a row.
Nothing is wrong with hanging out with their friends of course. BUT like, according to the Rule Book of Dating (which obviously is naturally given but some people don’t choose to listen) it should be 60/30. 60% time for your girlfriend and 30% time for your friends. And for the third day in a row this week?? Excuse you!!!! Yeah, obviously, go hang with your friends, you need too. But when it gets to be late, you better get your butt home because we are ready to go for attention that we haven’t had for hours. And also, include us please!
6. And when they don’t text you as much when they’re with their bros.
We care, we love you, we want you to have fun with your friends, but like can you send us a text???? That GIF literally explains our face as we look AGAIN at the unanswered message. I mean obviously you don’t need to be glued to your phone, but a few texts every hour is nice and reminds us that you’re thinking about us. When you don’t text, we worry. You’re with your friends, why can’t you answer a simple text???? Don’t do this, we love you. *puppy eyes*
7. When they send all their Snapchats to you…AND their story.
Let me see. You’re dating me, right? No one else? Hm. That’s what I thought, but why the fudge are you sending your snaps to me AND your story. I’m special. I’m your princess. The love of your life. Send me something special, make me feel special. Don’t make me feel like I’m a side girl getting your snaps. It’s cool if you wanna send what’s on your story to me, but send me a separate snap too!!
8. When they want to say YOU'RE the annoying one.
We just care and you want to call us annoying? SORRY FOR LOVING YOU. This is the ultimate thing to say to annoying the crap out of your girlfriend. We always are getting accused of being crazy just because we show we care in a different way. Sorry for caring.
Listen boys, we as your girlfriend, love you. We may show it in a kinda crazy way (crazy being used in a good way), but we care about you more than we can explain. So don’t get mad when we get annoyed by the simple things like this. Understand it all comes from the love and care we have for you… ;)
