Boston is an incredible city to live in, and there are so many places to eat, see, and explore. Here is a list of 8 of my favorite places to visit in Boston as a college student!

1. Eat at the Boston Burger Company

This one makes the top of the list, because it may just be the best place I have ever eaten at. If dining hall food is ever getting you down, take a short walk to Boston Burger Co., and I promise you will not be disappointed. Try one of their famous burgers and be sure to treat yourself to a milkshake at the end!

2. Visit the Museum of Fine Arts

With most college IDs, access to the Museum of Fine Arts is absolutely free. Here you can enjoy both their temporary and permanent exhibits, and see world famous pieces of art. Prepare yourself to see and interact with the art that they have on display.

3. Walk around or watch a game at Fenway Park

Every big sports fan will be sure not to miss this landmark! Whether you are going to Fenway Park as a spectator, or simply going for a nice walk around it, Fenway is an incredible sight to see.

4. Shop at Primark

For anyone who has ever dreamt of shopping in hands down the greatest store of all time, you can not miss Primark. The Boston location happens to be the first store in all of the United States, and is definitely worth the visit. Standing four floors tall and boasting some of the most affordable and adorable clothes on trend right now, Primark is a must see in Boston.

5. Visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Another museum that is easily accessible for college students is the beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner museum. Rich in history and beauty, a trip to the Gardner museum is time well spent. Take a warm afternoon to take in the gardens and enjoy the beautiful art around you.

6. Walk the Freedom Trail

Every history buff and nature lover should definitely walk the length of the Freedom Trail. This tour of all the historical sites in Boston will definitely acquaint you with the city.

7. See a show at the House of Blues

If money permits, every college student should watch a show at the House of Blues. Simply a great, exciting experience, any show at the House of Blues could be worth it. With such a small, intimate theater at our doorsteps, it should absolutely be taken advantage of.

8. Visit Quincy Market

Quincy Market has to be one of my favorite destinations to visit with friends. Here, you can find the world's greatest desserts, Wicked Good Cupcakes. Quincy Market is a great place to eat a quick meal, hangout with friends, and get some shopping done!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
