If you're anything like me, you love football. Some might say a little too much. You look forward to Saturdays and Sundays for football, and not much else. When you're school's team is barely mediocre, however, Saturdays can often be a struggle.
Here is what happens in a Texas Tech fan's mind over the course of an average football game:
First Quarter:
Alright, we got this. Possibly. Maybe.
Yes! Score, baby!
Looking good so far... Maybe we can actually do this?
Oh, they scored? It's over.
Second Quarter:
Let's just get the hell out of this half.
Oh... Oh God.
Yes! That's our ball.
Way to capitalize, baby!
OK. Now all we have to do is not screw ourselves over in the second half...
Third Quarter:
Oh, we're kicking off? It's over.
OK, they scored again, but we're only down by like, three touchdowns. We're still hanging on.
OK, we didn't score. Maybe on the next drive.
OK, let's do something, defense. *laughs to self*
How are they just running right through us?
Alright, we really need something on offense here.
Fourth Quarter:
Where are you throwing that? Where was he throwing that?
Alright, I think this is starting to get out of hand.
JAKEEEEEEEEM!
OK. All we need is a turnover, and then a score.
OK, now we just need another score, no biggie.
Fumble? Stock.
... At least we had cool uniforms today.
