We all had a summer bucket list. Some people actually accomplished the things on that list, but most of us accomplished nothing. Here is a list of everything I didn't do this summer.
1. Work out.
Number one on my list was to work out and get a hottie-tottie body for when I went back to school. Did I try to accomplish this? I can honestly say I at least tried. The first few weeks of summer I was all about the gym. Then my visits to the wonderful place of exercising became very few and far between, until I finally just ended up not going at all. It did save me a lot tears, except I just realized I never canceled my membership so I've been paying for that this whole time.
2. Eat healthy.
We all pinned "101 Healthy Lunches" on Pinterest. Now, did any of us actually make any of those? I sure didn't. I ate whole wheat bagelsdonuts for breakfast and pizza for dinner almost every day.
3. Get tan.
I had so many beach trips planned in my head. All of my BFF's with a margarita in each hand, laughing at the hot lifeguards passing by who would eventually ask for our phone numbers and become our sexy boyfriends. Instead I attempted to lay on my back deck but would run back inside after 5 minutes to escape the gross heat. They say pale is the new tan, right?
4. Read books.
I seriously thought I was going to become a sexy book nerd this summer. I even got new trendy glasses. People were going to run into me at the pool, book in hand, and think, "Wow, she looks so sexy reading that book." Nope, I did watch three new series on Netflix, though.
5. Go on a road trip.
A road trip with my BFF's! We were going to travel the United States and bond over the country's most beautiful landmarks. Let's be honest, we were lucky if we even saw each other once this summer.
6. Make a lot of money.
Most of the money I made I spent on stupid things like a bathing suit I used once, sunglasses that go stolen from me, and food.
7. Get a boyfriend.
I'm just going to sit and laugh at this one.
Every time.
8. Reunite with old friends.
After spending five minutes with your high school "friends" you realize there is no way you are hanging out with them again.
9. Make a change.
Whether it was getting a hair cut or... actually, it's always getting a hair cut. You either want to go for that short hair look you've always wanted or you want to dye your hair. You just really need a change in your life and changing your hair seemed to be exactly what you needed, until you get to the hair dresser and realize your friends are right: completely changing your hair color is a bad idea and you ask for "just a trim."
10. Get your life together.
Oh, yeah, I was supposed to find myself this summer and realize what it is that I want to do with my life. Yet, here I am, not even knowing what classes I'm going to take next semester.
