9 Things People Who Sleep With Their Fans Turned On Know Too Well

Spring, Fall, Winter, Summer. Doesn't matter what the season is. Doesn't matter where the location is. You will always find me at the end of the night curled up in bed with my fan turned up at least to the medium level. I know I can't be the only one in the world who has this obsession, so here are 8 things everyone who sleeps without their fan turned on should know about those of us who do.

It's the first thing you do when you walk into your room

Giphy

If you're using a fan at night, there are a few things you're well aware of. We appreciate the economic "alternative" vs. central or window A.C. units. The fans keep things moving in the room without killing the wallet. It's just always running, and there is nothing you can do to stop me from getting my cool air.

The sound of white noise is unmatchable

Giphy

"Sssssssssssssss-"

Is it just me, or can you not sleep without this noise constantly going on?

The endless blankets

Giphy

Are you cold? Yes. Will you turn the fan off? No, absolutely not. This is just an opportunity to spend your money on the most fluffiest blankets known to mankind.

Fan turned on + Multiple blankets + Sleepiness = Best Sleep!

Not being in your own room is a struggle

Giphy

You have to accept that your friend who you made plans with doesn't have a fan in her room, and you'll more than likely die of heat exhaustion.

You have a mini version of one of these

Obviously its not these huge industrial ones. But one of those small ones that you always take to the theme park or whenever you are out and about in the world.

Getting a cold is the worst thing in the world

Giphy

You know you shouldn't sleep with the fan, but you just can't bear not being without it.

You sit in front of it for no reason whatsoever

Giphy

For some reasonm this is just the best way to waste some time.

You have no idea what's going on in the rest of the house

You always just sit there making guesses about what's happening based on the minimal sound, but there is just no way to know what is going on with all the beautiful noise around you!

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
