Freshman year is probably the most stressful of them all. With all of that stress, remembering what to bring with you to school can become an extremely difficult task. Everyone needs a reminder of the necessities, those things you absolutely can not forget. These few things might not get you that 4.0, but they will definitely make life a little easier.
1. A Nice Backpack
Most college students will come to learn the importance of a nice backpack. When one is lugging all of their books back and fourth from the library it tends to get heavy, so a good backpack can "make or break" not only your back but your whole first year.
2. An Alarm Clock
Even though you will probably never set it, an alarm clock is essential. "Fake it 'til you make it" will soon become your life motto, so you might as well start with looking like you're gonna wake up on time for your 8 a.m. that you mistakenly signed up for.
3. A Good Planner
Most people can go without a planner throughout high school, but in college it is a necessity. Between football games, that horrible humanities class, sorority recruitment, and freshman orientation things are going to get a little crazy. A planner will help you keep all of your assignments, and get togethers in order.
4. Rain Jacket
When it rains, it pours... literally; and nothing makes that walk across campus more long than when there's six inches of rain on the ground and three in your shoes. A rain jacket is a must because it will keep you dry on those days, and plus, its one more thing to put your monogram on.
5.Coffee
As an incoming freshman, you may read this and be like, "uh, coffee is the last thing I want to drink," but soon it will be the fuel for your all nighters during finals, you'll be a Starbucks gold member, and your Keurig will be the most used thing in your dorm room. You will learn to appreciate not only the taste of coffee, but the somewhat "superhuman" abilities it will give you to get through Freshman year.
