Hey all,
I’m Jordan.
It’s difficult to say who I am because I feel like I encompass a lot of different things.
But I can be brief--I think of myself as a traveler. I was born in California, and lived in seven states and Mexico before remembering that the west coast is the best place to live, so I hopped on a plane from Northern Virginia to University of Oregon.
I like bragging about my adventures by taking increasing pretentious pictures of myself for my instagram. Walking through rainy New Orleans, hiking through the Badlands, and jetskiing across the Gulf are some of my favorite pictures on my feed.
I’ve spent the past four years of my life sacrificing any free time I have to crew. You know, the sport with the boats? Rowing? Yeah, it’s a sport trust me. I got home at 9pm on weekdays in high school after practices, so I promise it’s real. In college, I get to wake up around 4:30 for practices. ...I’m late to practice a lot.
I occupy my time with lots of clubs and classes because I really wanted to be a tryhard loner. I’m the unqualified treasurer in my Hall Government, a new mentor for PeaceJam, small time entrepreneur in Nourish International, and obviously a rower. I’m currently a double major in Business and Public Policy, Planning and Management. We’ll see how long that lasts because what freshman knows what they want to do forever?
I’m not even a journalism major, but my editor said I could talk about myself. I’m definitely too conceited to pass that offer up! Just kidding, conceit is a flaw, and I have none.
I really just want to write about whatever makes me excited to sit down and churn out an article maybe three people will read. I have eclectic tastes and a love of ranting, so expect anything from descriptions of hikes to obscure history to summaries of projects I finished half of.
Bye,
-Jordan
