Free — the one word that causes all college students to stop in their paths and turn their heads. These phone apps are the epitome of free; they're free to download AND some will even result in free stuff. How much better could it get?
Hooked
Hooked is currently the '#1 College Food and Drink App.' This app is literally great. You put in your location (aka your campus) and the rest is left up to the app. Within seconds, it will pop up with local deals within around a 10 miles radius for free and discounted food. It even shows how much longer the deal is running for. Don't worry — it is constantly updating itself with the newest deals.
Pocket Points
This app is a win-win. It rewards you for not using your phone during class. Every time you enter a class, you simply open up the app and close your phone. During the duration of class, you earn points. Over time, these points add up and will eventually lead to free stuff, ranging from free sandwiches to BOGO smoothies. So, basically, you're getting free stuff AND improving your attention in class.

The app also informs you when it thinks you should stop drinking and when it's time to leave. Additionally, since your mind may not fully be there, the app uses your location to see where the closest public transportation hubs are to you. Just remember to not drink and drive!
