Wow, here we are again. Another deadline, another week, another month. Here we are with another paper, another story to be told, another opportunity to change the world. Here we are and--- writer’s block.
Too many times I have thought of many amazing stories while walking through the woods, exploring the city, or simply just living. Once I find the time to finally sit down and write the story something awful happens- I get writers block. Yes, it is one that captures us writers too often at what seems to be the most terrible of times: the night before a deadline, the day before action needs to be taken.
I think that it’s hard because as a writer I have this extreme want for changing this world and having that ability through words. There is nothing more discouraging then when I hit a writer’s block.
I haven’t found a productive way of relieving myself of the block other than what I know has worked for other people, for years. Find a bit of inspiration. What heats your souls, swirls your mind, and loosens your body? Where do you find your inspiration and where can you continue to find it?
It is easy to get wrapped into this flow of being drained of your creative abilities so it is so important to step back and rejuvenate yourself. Refresh your creative capabilities and strive to impact and possibly solve the human condition. Either way, strive for creativity.
Creativity looks different for everyone. For some, it is a pen and paper. For others, it is a lump of clay and some water. Even some people, it is just the power of language and having good conversations. Whatever your creativity is--- Create it!
That is the most important advice I could give you. Create creativity. Create time and space to inspire yourself so that you can inspire others. Writers block is a pain. It is like some infectious disease. With a little bit of creativity and inspiration you can easily stop that.
Go out and find your creativity.
