I'm pretty sure we've all become well aware of the increasing number of fashion and lifestyle bloggers out there on the Internet. I follow a number of them, and scroll through their Instagrams with envy of their fashion sense and expensive designer clothing. But as you look a little closer into each account (or honestly, not that much closer, because it's pretty obvious), you will come to realize that all of the world-famous bloggers have pretty much the same exact type of photos all over their websites and Instagrams. Clearly, something they are doing is working (since they basically get paid to wear expensive, pretty things). So I will be teaching you how to become a famous blogger by sharing with you the top 10 obligatory blogger photos.
1. Brunch for 50
This is an absolute MUST. You have to order nearly everything off the hipster café's menu, so you have a nice variety of healthy and unhealthy foods. Yes, this will make it look like you are either brunching with 50 people, or you are 500 pounds, but that's beside the point (do it for the Insta). Also, don't let anyone touch the food before you take pictures of it because #ew, half-eaten food in a picture? That's a no-go. When it comes to paying for all the food you order, hopefully you get to pay "free ninety-nine," because you are promoting their restaurant...I guess. On the real though, to all you bloggers out there, you did not eat all of that. Oh, and don't forget to capture that cute but hella expensive accessory you so accidentally left on the table in your photo.

2. Feet on pretty flooring
Who doesn't love looking at cute little Chanel shoes on some nice herringbone wood flooring or pretty stonework? Because it's my absolute fav! JK. Although it is appealing to the eye, I honestly don't know how this one became a blogger must-have. I'm not sure why people would be interested in the floor/ground, unless they are an interior designer or a landscaper. But it clearly does wonders, seeing how many "likes" these photos get. But if you don't have the perfect shoes/flooring/lighting, don't bother trying. It's gotta be perfect.

3. What's in your bag?!
I'm sure everyone has wondered what's inside one of those mysterious Céline bags, which seems to be every blogger's go-to (even though basically no one else can afford one). So this marks another obligatory blogger photo: what is inside your bag?! Clearly everyone wants to see the random crap that us normal people keep in our not-so-designer bags, so go ahead and spill it out for everyone to see! Make sure to feature all the gum wrappers and old receipts you have shoved in the crevices to make it extra artsy. This should guarantee you at least one more follower (we'll hope for more).

4. Proof you travel
So apparently it's a thing for bloggers to be given free trips all around the world so they can "promote" different resorts... Is this even a job? In case their some hundred thousand followers weren't aware that they actually travel to these beautiful places, they have to document the process (AKA, a photo of their designer luggage and/or passport/boarding pass). So next time you're at the airport getting ready to go some place not as exotic as where bloggers go, be sure to capture a photo of your ordinary black suitcase, scuffed up and dirty from all the family trips it has experienced.

5. Legs, legs, legs
I have noticed that one of the most popular things for a blogger to post is a picture of their legs dangling into water, laying on a bed, laying on a beach, sitting on stairs cross-legged showing off the lower-half of their outfit — you name it. Who knew that a photo of just a pair of legs could be so aesthetically pleasing?! If you want to join the ranks of the top bloggers, just photograph your own glistening frankfurters the next time you're laying on the beach or by the pool. #hotdogsorlegs

6. Macaroons & lattes
Macaroons and lattes. These seem to be the prime afternoon pick-me-ups among popular bloggers. Not to mention, they are very appealing to the eye, so bloggers love to take advantage of that. Just scroll through a couple bloggers' Instagram profiles, and you are bound to find both. If you're looking to spend around $30 for a little box of pretty-looking pastries in order to make your Instagram or website look a little more attractive, it sounds like the blogging life is for you! And next time you order a caramel macchiato, be sure to take a picture of the coffee as it swirls down into the milk. Super artsy.

7. Peonies
Who doesn't love an adorable little bouquet of soft pink peonies? I'm not sure, but I know who do love them: Bloggers! Scroll through a couple different popular blogger profiles, and you'll come to recognize this, too. Apparently, they are all really into keeping fresh flowers around their houses, specifically peonies. Every so often you will see some pink roses as well, but these are the prime flowers to have right now (they are quite expensive, after all). This is a photo must-have if you want to become a blogger, so go out and buy some pretty pink peonies. But if you're anything like me (no time/money to buy fresh flowers), just go outside and snap a picture of the first flower you see! I think it gets the same point across.

8. Organized workspace
Another absolute obligatory post every blogger must have is a picture of their work space at that moment--laptop, forms of inspiration, and flowers (of course) all included. Somehow, every popular blogger I follow has a nearly spotless workspace. Either they are all OCD about what their desk looks like, or they just purposefully organize it so it's acceptable to photograph. I'm gonna go with the latter. So if you want to try out the blogger life, get ready to find all of your cutest accessories and planners to scatter around your laptop, get those fresh flowers I was previously talking about, and change your screen background from that embarrassing group photo from that one night as a freshman in college.

9. Drinks in the air
Forget food in the air. Bloggers love to show their followers how hydrated they're staying (or how much they're drinking, not necessarily for hydration), especially when in an exotic location. What's a better way of showing people what you're drinking and where you are than by raising it in the air? If you're in some ordinary place by yourself but still want to try out this tip, simply raise your water glass in front of the nearest window, and snap a pic. Same idea more or less, right? With this obligatory post, you can make any time look like the best time. Cheers to that.

10. Beauty products
Last but certainly not least, the final obligatory blogger post: collection of beauty products. Every blogger I have come across always looks absolutely stunning no matter what they are doing, so why would anyone not want to be let in on their beauty regimens? With their large followings, you would think they could just say, "Here's what I use, and this is why I look perfect." But nope. That's just too easy! If you want a large following on your website or Instagram, you have to take the artsy, not easy, route. So get out your favorite (or most expensive looking) beauty products, set them on a fancy background, and there ya have it.

Although it seems there is not much variety from blogger to blogger in these essential posts, they are all clearly doing something right. I got excited when I hit 600 followers on Instagram... Maybe if we follow their designer footsteps, we can get that number up to the hundreds of thousands also.
