During quarantine, I started following bloggers (sometimes called influencers) on Instagram. These women give advice on just about everything from relationships to exercise tips. I love following bloggers because they often review beauty products, amazon finds, and other popular products, so I can see if they truly work before I invest the money into buying them myself! Bloggers also give great life advice and always share a look into their daily lives which I love because it allows me to know them on a personal level.

Alexa Anglin- @alexa.anglin

Alexa was a pediatric nurse practitioner while her husband was in the army and stationed overseas and when they had their sun Gray, she decided to stay home full time and just blog. One of my favorite things about following Alexa is that she just built a new house near Nashville, Tennessee so I love it when she asks her followers about everything from lighting fixtures to wallpaper. If you love house design or fashion you need to follow Alexa.

Madison Mealy- @madisonmeal

Madison currently lives in Flordia with her husband who is in medical school, along with their little son Dane and they have a baby on the way. Madison and her husband met in Hawaii while in college, so her feed is full of dreamy island living! I love following Madison because she focuses on clean eating and fitness. She always shares the best healthy recipes and at-home workouts!

Dede Raad- @dressupbuttercup

Dede just built a new house in Texas with her husband Ted and has the cutest little girl named, Rosie. One of the things I love about Dede is that she is so open with her followers. She recently lost her sweet mother who she was very close to and isn't afraid to show her followers how she is dealing with her loss, which gives other people so much hope. Dede also shares the best sales! She is always on a hunt for a bargain and has the cutest style! If you love low-cost but high-quality clothes, you need to follow Dede.

Emily Herren @champagneandchanel

Emily is also from Texas and is best friends with Dede! Emily just got engaged to her fiance Lee who is a police officer and had the cutest dogs, Murphy and Reese. Emily always shares the cutest outfits and the funniest dog stories! One of the main reasons I follow Emily is because she always shows her followers clothes from my favorite boutique, Pink Lilly. If you love fashion or even just dogs, Emily is a perfect person to follow.

Maddie Duff- @ottestyle

I love following Maddie because she lives in the same city I do! I love it when she shares new restaurants to try or places to shop. Maddie also has a lot of house plants and always shares the best tips and tricks to help them thrive. I have learned so much about plants from following her account! Aside from plants, she also has the cutest style and the best fall decorations!

If you have an Instagram account, I invite you to look up these amazing women and take a look at their feed! Not only do they inspire me but I hope at least one of them will inspire you too!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
