I never though I would miss living in Missouri, I was always determined that I would move off to a much better state like California or New York. Then one day my parents made the announcement that we were moving to Alabama... And now this born and raised Missouri girls is home sick.
For starters I miss Imo's Pizza.... I seriously though that Imo's was everywhere but its not. And that is depressing because here I am in a state that does have the delicious St. Louis style pizza.
Ugh... The cardinals! (ALABAMA DOES NOT HAVE A MLB TEAM!) I'm sorry I really can't stress that enough. I grew up watching the cardinals. In St. Louis we take baseball very seriously and you are taught to hate the Chicago Cubs. And with that being said, go cards #BirdsNation
And since we're on the topic of sports, the Blues... Boy do I miss hockey. I'll just go ahead and say this, Alabama revolves around football, here in the good ole south football is life. So yes, I do miss living in a state that has more than just football.
The beautiful Gateway Arch, no matter how many time I have gone up in that thing it will never get old. Now when I go back home to visit I make it a point to go to the arch a go all the way to the top.
Another great STL attraction is the City museum, although i struggle now to get through the tiny holes its still the coolest place ever. It's like a giant playground!
To add to the list of wonderful attractions, The River Road. The name is pretty self explanatory, this miles long road let you drive alongside the Mississippi river and it is a beautiful site
The graffiti wall is by far one of my favorite things in STL. It is the perfect background for photo shoots ( I actually took my High School senior pictures here and I am still in love with them), to get some inspiration or if you're good with the spray can go ahead and leave your mark!
Bread Co. or as everyone else calls it "Panera" that took a while to get used to. But yes, the Panera everyone knows and loves was originally founded in St. Louis Missouri, and i miss calling it bread co. and people knowing what i mean
So despite always missing the wonderful things of STL I am glad that now i can enjoy them even more when I visit my hometown.
