Every now and then, you'll be sitting in the car or scrolling through your iPod from 2005, and you hear that one throwback jam and you're instantly back in your weird striped shirt and overalls. Nothing but great memories come from these songs. Now, once I throw these songs at you, what does it make you remember?
Jesse McCartney - "Leavin"
Don't even tell me you didn't have your fifth grade boyfriend break your heart and you listened to this on repeat.
Bowling For Soup - "1985"
We all know we didn't understand the words, most of you still probably don't know what a CPA is, but still, this song was the jam of 2004.
Yellowcard - "Ocean Avenue"
If you didn't yell this song at the top of your lungs on a long car ride, then I don't know if I can trust you.
Eiffel 65 – "Blue (Da Ba Dee)"
Come on. You know any time you wore a blue outfit this song was stuck in your head the entire day.
Blink 182 – "All the Small Things"
Actually, if you really forgot this song, it'll make me a little bit upset.
Gavin DeGraw – "I Don’t Want To Be"
Ah, I can hear it now. "I DON'T WANNA BE ANYTHING ODDABA WHABABA BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAAAAH AHHH" Only a select few knew the words, everyone else ... kind of a lost cause.
Gnarls Barkley - "Crazy"
Believe it or not, CeeLo Green's first hit wasn't "Forget You." It was something much, much better than that.
LA Roux - "In For The Kill"
Most people are more familiar with the Skrillex remix, but come on, the original is still pretty great.
The Killers - "Mr. Brightside"
And another one that we didn't really get what all the lines meant, but still screamed it out every time it played.
The Click Five - "Just The Girl"
Such a goodie. Always the one to listen to when the girls came to sleepover.
Missy Elliott - "Get Ur Freak On"
A super classic. Had to finish it off with this one, even though I'm hoping you didn't actually forget this one.
I hope I've helped your nostalgia sky-rocket for the day. Now go jam out for a while, you've got a lot of remembering to do.
