Packing for school can take you on quite the emotional whirlwind. Deciding what to take can be overwhelming, exciting, frustrating, and bittersweet. Whether you're a freshman or a senior, everyone goes through it. Here are the seven stages of packing:
1. The Excited Phase
College is starting again! You get to see all your friends and get your life back together after a relaxing summer break!
2. The Procrastination Phase
Packing is such a hassle after you spend weeks trying to avoid it. You try to do anything but pack. Run errands? Sure. Clean the house? Sure. Pack? Absolutely not.

3. The Tears Phase
You finally start packing and come across a childhood toy or something your mom bought you like two years ago and you question going to school at all. You start to cry and get all you clothes wet and have to let it dry. More procrastination.

4. The Confused Phase
Your clothes dry from the tears phase and you soon enter the confused phase. The worst phase of the packing process. Do you take the light blue top or the navy blue top? Are you really going to use those baggy pants? You really don't need the maxi skirt, but you know you are going to miss it.
5. The Frustrated Phase
Two words: Nothing fits.
6. The Messy Phase
You finally finish packing and you feel like you're finally done . You walk into your room and everything you didn't pack is everywhere. It's all a mess and you want to scream.
7. The Satisfied Phase
You picked up your room. You're all packed. All is good in the world.
