Real Feminism Is Not Something To Be Feared, It Is Something To Be Embraced

Feminism is defined as the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. Equality of the sexes. The sexes, as in ALL of the sexes, meaning equality for EVERYONE. Now that we have the definition out of the way, lets break this down even more.

Feminist do not want to be men, they do not have penis envy, they want equality to men. So when a female and a male both go to apply for a job that they are equally qualified for, they would like the same pay to be offered not a gender pay gap.

Feminist want to seem the same tax on mens and women razors. They want the same tax on tampons that their are on condoms. They want periods, a thing a women can not help that see gets once a month, to not be treated as a punishment.

Feminist want to end Slut shaming. Because why does a males get high fives and praise for his multiple partners, as is referred to as a stud. Yet when a women, has multiple partners, she is criticized for it.

Feminist do not want chivalry to die, but to be modified. If out on a date they do not expect the male to pay, but if he offers cool, if they split the bill cool, and if she pays for it, its also cool. Chivalry doesn't have to be a action that a man only shows to a women. It can be a action that a women shows to a women, a women shows to a man, and a man shows to a man. It just is a-crossed the board being nice to the person you are dating.

Feminist want the right to affordable, health care and rights. That means politics, religion, should stay out of the health care system. So just because your religion doesn't agree with contraceptives, doesn't mean that they not be allowed to anyone, it just means you don't have to take them. And if your political party doesn't agree with abortions, it doesn't mean they should be banded, it just means they you personally never have to have one.

Feminist do not care what your job is, they want to to have the choice and the power to do what every you want. So if you want to be a housewife be a housewife. If you want to be a cop be a cop. If you want to be a CEO be a CEO. And if you want to be the President, run for office. They really do want equal opportunity. And no by this paragraph I am not stating that one can not already decided upon their career, yes we are capable of doing that in this country. Am saying that your belief of feminist wanting to history the idea of the women being the home and caretaker is False. They want you to live you life however you want to.

Feminist want to have justice when it comes to rape. They don't want the first question to be "what were you wearing". They don't want to be referred to as "20 minutes of action". Any they definitely don't want "Locker room talk" and comments like "grab her p***y" to be a thing that is expectable to say.

Feminist do except all forms of gender and agree that their are more than just two. They also expect all religions or no religion. They find all races, ethnicity and cultures to be beautiful.

To sum it up into smaller terms. A feminist wants equality for EVERYONE in society.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
