If you're like me, you plan but also procrastinate a lot when you have to pack for a trip, no matter if it is a trip where you go for five days or five weeks. As for me, I had recently packed for a trip that I will be on for five weeks and let me tell you, the process was not pretty at all. Here are some ideas of what the process looks like for a packer that procrastinates.

1. What should I pack my clothes in?

How big of a suitcase do I need? Do I need a suitcase at all? Maybe I just need to use a Vera Bradley Duffel Bag or a small Nike bag. Well let me tell you, the bigger the better, in my opinion. For someone that procrastinates, you're probably going to throw in more stuff than you need at the last minute since you are rushing to pack all of the things you think you need to pack.

2. Look through your clothes and make a list.

Yes, even though we procrastinate that does not mean we don't plan. Making a list of clothes we want to bring can help. Let's be honest though, it really won't help because you will wait to use that list and you will probably lose it before you actually use it.

3. Thinking of packing two weeks ahead of schedule.

You think you will start packing early. Maybe it isn't two weeks in advance, maybe it'll be one week in advance, but really all you will do is sit on your floor staring at your clothes not wanting to pack because you have other things you could be doing that are way better than packing.

4. Take a break.

If you actually do start packing you will realize how much of a mistake you made because you will be so bored and you will end up stopping and telling yourself, "I have tons of time to pack, there's no point in doing it now!"

5. Well, it's a day before and you still haven't packed.

It's the day before the trip and you haven't decided which piece of luggage you will use, you have barely touched your clothes that you want to bring on your trip and of course that list of yours is nowhere to be found. Well that's okay, because you are a master packer, obviously, and you will get it done in no time.

6. You have arrived at your destination!

Well you have arrived to where you are going on your trip and you are finally unpacking everything, even though that will probably take you forever to do, too (procrastinating at it's finest, am I right?). While you are unpacking you see things that you've forgotten, whether it is deodorant, those cute pair of shoes you wanted to bring, your favorite t-shirt or maybe even that lucky pair of underwear. Well nothing you can do now but go out and buy some (that's what Target is for, thank goodness for those stores being everywhere). On the positive side, you didn't forget your phone charger or your phone. I mean, those really are the necessities nowadays.

Packing sucks, but once you get to your trip you will have the time of your life no matter what items you forgot! But you know you will always be dreading the day you have to repack to go home.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
