In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, JR Smith scored 20 points. In the previous two games against the Pacers, Smith had 11 and 9 points. The game before those, 0 points. So what changed? Historically, JR is known for his inconsistency while managing to be serviceable enough to warrant a starting job. But there must be a secret to this success. Stats shouldn't work out in such a way the results are on either end of the spectrum. So the point is that there is a commonality even in a place where everything appears random. My theory? His haircut.
I don't know if anyone saw what JR was working with during the end of the season and throughout the Pacers series. Well, I'll show you. Specifically, I am talking about his connection between his hairline and beard.
Yeah. Wow.
Trust me, I know, bad hair. I don't think my girlfriend has seen me without a hat on for two years. When your job entails that you will be in front of millions on a weekly basis, you gotta keep the hair neat and trimmed. In JR's case, the end result goes much further than appearance. I believe that so long as JR keeps his hairline trim, he will continue to be a scoring threat on the offensive end of the floor.
I mean just LOOK at this .
There should be no question about keeping that look in my opinion. That should be pretty clear at this point
