Who am I?

I don't know...

I don't know who I am. I don't know where I'm going. I don't know who's walking with me... And it's scary. Very scary. To not know what's ahead. But I think that's the whole point in life—to not know who you are, or where you're going, or who you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Because you're trying to find that out...

You're trying to find that person you want to be, the paths and journeys you want to take. And when you look over your shoulder, someone who will always be there with a smile on their face. Everyday is a new journey. Everyday is something new. Everyday you're a different person. But who are you really?

The words that echo out of your mouth, the clothes you decide to put on every morning, the way you respond to each and every little thing in your life: they all define you. Who are you now? Who do you want to be? How do you want others to see you? These all very important questions, and although we may change over time, we always stay true to who we really are. But always BE who you really are. Don't let others make you into the person you're not.

And where are you going... To lend a hand across the world? To bring music and joy into everyone's life? To live a simple life with the person you love? I think we're all trying to figure out what we really want to do with our lives. And deep down we know. We're trying to get there. One step at a time. And we are nearly there. We're so close. But sometimes... it's not enough. But that doesn't mean you give up. Life will push you down, again and again. But you get back up. You brush yourself off... And you keep going.

I know it's hard to do it by yourself. You'll fall down and want someone to give you a hand. You'll want someone to catch you when you lose yourself. And someone to be there no matter what happens. And there may not be anyone there now. But that's okay... You keep going. Keep going and don't look back. And know... that she's on her way too. And she's getting there as fast as she can.
