It's almost the most wonderful time of the year. There's candy canes, Christmas trees, snow, laughter, presents, and much more. But Christmas is not until December 25th, am I correct? Then why is everyone so quick to jump straight from Halloween to Christmas? Are people forgetting Thanksgiving?
One of my favorite holidays of the year is Thanksgiving. Yes, Christmas is my favorite holiday, but Thanksgiving is an extremely close second. Thanksgiving is a holiday were you can be with your family and be extremely thankful for not only the opportunity to be together, but for being blessed with such an amazing family. It's a time to reflect on all the good in your life. There are so many things in our lives that we take for granted, and Thanksgiving is the day in which we can be thankful for those things.
Although Thanksgiving is just one day does not mean you only have to be thankful for one day. Thanksgiving allows people to get into a thankful state of mind just in time for the holidays. Remember all those things you're thankful for during the holidays. Not only will you feel better, but it will lead to a good time.
Let's not forget about the food. Thanksgiving is the one day of the year you can pig out and it will be completely acceptable. There's turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and much more. You can be as creative with your sides as you want. There's also the Thanksgiving Day Parade, the best thing to happen. It's a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving and get excited for Christmas at the same time. Overall, Thanksgiving is a holiday that allows one to be themselves and be thankful for the life they have. I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving.
