When you think about working out, it almost immediately makes you even lazier. Nobody wants to run or do strenuous activity where they will get all sweaty and tired. But there is such an importance of getting off the couch and to start to work out. Physically, there are so many benefits to working out that can ensure someone to live an awesome, long life. There are so many health scares out there such as cancer and risk of heart attacks. By working out, and maintaining a certain weight and healthy lifestyle, these scares will become something that you won’t have to think about. Lifting weights, doing sprints and other running, or sports are all physical ways to keep healthy. And it really is not that hard to get up and go for even just a walk. Both light and hard workouts can be extremely beneficial and start people on the path to being healthier. There are also other features to working out that make it so important to do.

Working out is not just all about the physical aspect of it. By being active and motivating yourself to work out, you are building your mental health as well. Getting up and starting to be healthy and fit all starts with accepting in your mind that you can do it. These habits of going to the gym and eating right do not just happen overnight. You won’t magically be healthy just because you had one salad that one day or did one workout. Each day you must remind yourself that you can do it and that you’re not alone. To build up you mental health even more and motivate yourself, finding a support system or work out buddy is key. Nobody likes to work out alone because you feel like you don’t have that motivation and it’s nice to have company. By having someone by your side, you can build up the mentality that you can do anything because you have people behind you no matter what. Working on your mental health through working out will then help in other everyday activities such as concentrating on school work or doing a good job at work.

Finally, working out can also help with the emotional health of a person. We live in a world where stress and chaos constantly put road blocks in life. People sometimes let feelings build up inside them and do not know if they can find a proper outlet for them. Working out can be the biggest stress reliever and greatest outlet. You can go as hard as you want in a workout in order to get everything off you mind and chest. It’s a great way to not think about things and just focus on yourself for a little bit. These times will be the most important because we all need good escapes from everyday life, and working out is the best choice.

In the end, everyone should try and do some sort of working out to better their lives. Whether it’s a walk with the family after dinner or a pickup basketball games, these are all ways to improve your lives. Of course it is easier said than done, but by taking the first steps, a healthier lifestyle is achievable. No one should be embarrassed or ashamed to start to make a change just because they are overweight or suffering from medical issues. The next time you see an overweight person either at a gym or working out outside, just think about how much strength they have, both mentally and emotionally and what they will eventually become physically. Those are the people that are truly the strongest and most inspiring.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
