Funny thing life is. Life is so beautiful, unqiue, and individualistic. No two people live the same life. They may experience the same things, be given the same opportunities, have the same goals and aspirations, but their lives are completely different. Thats what makes it so funny. Life a path one travels down full of experiences and memories, heartbreaks and happiness, love and laughter, friendship and family, and above all spirituality (for some). We start out as a sparkle in our parents eye and development into the person we are today while growing in our mothers stomach. Our family raises us, showing us the ins and outs and teaching us the most they can so one day in turn, we will grow up to be a great person and do the same thing for generations to follow. But one day, in the middle of your funny life with all its twist ans turns your parents arent there anymore. You find yourself away either working or going to school and growing up and becoming independent. Before you know it, college if thats the path you decided to take is close to an end and real life the kind that you think will never come because you're going to be young forever has hit you square in the face. It's here. It knew no time and doesn't care if you aren't ready. Our first thought is to go back to our childish ways and run to our parents because were scared and were not ready. What if your parents arent there. Like mine. My parent is gone. My Dads life abruptly ended a few months ago and i cant run to him anymore. Who do I go to now? Her. The girl who saved my life. The acquaintance who was in my sorority and in some of my classes. Who was a friend but not the friend who you hangout with all the time. A friend who you loose touch with when school lets out on breaks. A friend that is good to be around but if not thats okay too. A friend who is genuinely nice and kind but not someone you cannot live without. This is what she was to me before my Dad died. Now she is my world. My rock when im in a hard place. A bestfriend. A soulmate. A girl who stepped up and stayed by my side when everyone else returned back to normal. The girl who saved my life. If it wasn't for her, i dont know where id be in the funny life but i know it wouldn't be good. Find a girl like her and love her unconditionally because I too was the girl that saved her life as well. We both needed eachother when life took a nose drive. Sometimes its the people you never expect to be the ones that do the most. To the girl that saved my life and became my bestfriend, thank you. Ill always love you unconditonally and whereever we may go in this funny life you know ill always be here.
