We are getting closer and closer to the election. The big Kahuna. The bigwig of the elections: the presidential election in November. And as the date becomes closer and closer, our candidates are bringing out the big guns to get dirt on their opponent in this last-minute fight to the death. With crazy content from each candidate released weekly, so are the numerous responses from various famous actors, politicians, or a not so famous “journalist” from Dallas. As I was scrolling through Facebook to watch these responses, one that struck me was Michelle Obama’s response about Donald Trump’s comments. This woman perfectly articulated how every person felt after they watched the video. But what really struck me is how she articulated her words and presented her speech in a personal way to everyone.. Much like how you SHOULD feel when a president is talking to you.
1.Michelle Obama is smart AF. This woman graduated from Princeton and got her J.D. at Harvard, where she met Barack. She is an American writer and lawyer. She is highly educated and only one of three first ladies to have a post graduate degree. She is highly respected and this would help her to be well versed in debates and speeches.
2.She is all about helping the underdog. Michelle is a role model for many girls around the world and is raising awareness for LGBT rights as well. She recognizes that no one is the same, and that is what makes our country special.
3.She knows her way in government, due to her husband and she has met with several world leaders, who have the upmost respect for her.
4.She believes in the wellness of Americans. Her initiative, “Let’s Move” encouraged people to eat healthy and get up and move. She said that she “wanted to leave a long-lasting legacy behind” and hoped that this would start to conquer America’s obesity problem.
5.Michelle Obama is just a cool person. Honestly its crazy how relatable she is to women of any age. She has been seen on a variety of TV shows, supporting her “Let’s Move” movement and sporting some funky moves along the way. And not that it matters, but she is always killing the game fashion wise.
