Halloween: a time to show off your creativity and strut your stuff in an amazing costume only you could have put together because it’s just perfect. You can easily master the not-so-easy DIY costumes pinned on Pinterest, become a professional makeup artist in a split second, and effortlessly make being a trash bag look hot. Unless you’re like me and have no creativity—and I mean zero creativity—in which case you’re going to need some easy costume ideas that you can put together from items you probably already have in your closet.
These costumes are so simple. They require minimal effort and time; what could be better? Spend less time crafting up a mess when you can throw something together in no time and still look good.
Robber
Have a black and white-striped shirt? Of course you do. Throw it on with some black pants, black shoes, and a black beanie and call yourself a robber! Extra points if you have a black-eye mask or sunglasses for those finishing touches.
Kermit the Frog Meme
Remember that meme with Kermit the Frog drinking tea? You know, the one everyone uses to be sly? Why not be him? Grab any green shirt, put on some jeans and snap pics with a plastic mug. You’ll be an obvious sensation and it will only take you three minutes to put the entire costume together. It’s so simple and funny you have no excuse not to do it.
Cowgirl
Now I know this one is a little cliché, but if you’re really running out of time and still want to be cute, this one’s for you. Everyone owns some form of plaid. Button up a flannel with some jeans and boots and you’ve turned yourself into a cowgirl!
Gym Rat
This one is kind of self-explanatory. Pick out some clothes that you would typically wear to the gym, use some eyeliner to make a mouse nose and whiskers, and you’re an actual pun on words. Not only are you in comfortable clothes, but it took you no time to throw this entire piece together!
College Student
I know what you’re thinking. A regular student? For Halloween? Yes. Think about it, what do normal college students wear to class? Pajamas. So what’re you going to wear in order to look like a college student for Halloween? Pajamas. I kid you not, put on some sweatpants and a sweatshirt because this is by far the simplest costume a lazy and broke college party-goer could go for. I mean, you don’t even have to change for bed when you get back. How amazing is that?
Now let me clarify. These costume ideas are for the girls who have absolutely no time to think of something because of their lack of imagination and creativity. If you can turn a t-shirt into a cute pineapple, then do it! Use those skills to make an awesome costume. But if you can’t even handle a glue gun, just try one of these ridiculously easy costumes and you’ll thank me later.
