Last Thursday, June 9th, the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates engaged in a showdown via the social media network of Twitter. It all began when Donald Trump took to Twitter with his response to the endorsement of Hilary Clinton by President Obama, stating: "Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary. He wants four more years of Obama--but nobody else does!"
Clinton's campaign fired back at Trump, stating: "Delete your account."
Trump quickly noted the ironic use of Clinton's word choice “delete,” considering the scandal surrounding the deleting of her State Department emails. His response: "How long did it take your staff of 823 people to think that up--and where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted?"When I heard about the so-called Twitter fight, my first reaction was: is this high school? The fact that the two individuals, who are in the running to become the United States of America's future President, are arguing via Twitter is alarming. One of these candidates will be the face of our nation and campaigning for POTUS should require dignity, not resemble a reality TV show.
