As I write this to you, I am currently under an umbrella in the rain. I must admit, I have grown quite cynical about, “Life” at this point and time, because of so many broken hearts. Alas there is hope! So be ready for some inspirational stuff that I always write to you. These are six healthy tips to get over a depressing breakup.
1. Take yourself out.
I know it sounds weird and lonely, but solitude is a nice way to clear your head, and take a break from people. Try weird food, new experiences are always fun, and you’ll learn more about yourself in that process.
2. Social Media.
This is also something you should take a break from. Just let go and be in your own thoughts, no distractions. Again we see the repetitive theme here, you are your true self when nobody else is looking. Maybe it is time to remember that wonderful person, with absolutely no distractions.
3. Emotions. Lots of them.
You must exercise on your emotions, and running them out on the treadmill. Honestly I hold my emotions in a lot, which in this case, probably is not right. Scream in your pillow, cry, don’t cry, be angry, and forgive but never forget. Just let it all go. It is very great to have an awesome friend by your side to help you deal with these emotions. You are literally going through stages, so let yourself go through them.
4. Party Time.
When you're ready, go out with your friends again. Party on and hard! I mean you just went through a breakup. Why not go and have fun. Throw yourself into new experiences.
5. Running into Him/Her
If you are afraid to go anywhere (by the way), because you are afraid of running into them, then make yourself. Be classy, be respectful, and keep walking by. Do not give them the time of day. They are the ones that broke you anyway. By living in this facade, you look way stronger than you feel inside; that's the point.
6. Career.
Focus on that one thing you were working on before you were distracted by his/her cute face. Oh that’s right. YOUR CAREER!
These are the biggest things you can do for yourself at first. I know they are hard, but really what is easy these days? Somebody breaks your heart, it is your job to occupy your mind and to mend it yourself. You are the best part of you; that is why you were born. Do not let them hurt you and do not lose hope. These experiences are what shape your character. Take all the time you need, but remember there are better people out there, and even if they are late, trust me you’ll fall in irrational love again.
