You know that feeling you have when you have four tests, two projects, and seven papers to do, but you don’t want to do anything productive? When I feel like this, I usually turn to YouTube. I justify YouTube is better than being wasteful with my time on Netflix because YouTube is short videos. Well, jokes on me because I undoubtedly spend way more time clicking through the suggested videos on the side bar than I would binge watching Parks and Rec. So, here are some fabulous YouTube Channels everyone should check out!
1. The DeFranco Fam
If You want to watch one of the most adorable families on this earth, watch the DeFranco family. You might have heard of Phillip Defranco from his YouTube news series, The Philip DeFranco Show. Well, on their family channel, Phil, his wife Lindsay, and their son Trey, show snippets of their life through their vlog. I basically just watch their videos whenever I need a dose of adorableness. Trey is the CUTEST child ever. He’s about to be two in April, so he’s getting into all kinds of trouble and learning new things everyday. It’s so happy to watch, and I would definitely recommend checking out this cute family. Here’s a recent video of Trey getting his first “big-boy” bed!

2. Convos With My 2-Year Old
This is probably the funniest channel on YouTube. This awesome dad has taken actual conversations with his daughter and reenacted them, but with a full-grown man. Hilarity ensues.

3. Bored Shorts TV (Kid Snippets)
If you’ve never seen Kid Snippets, it’s a lot like “Convos with My 2 Year Old” in that they reenact kid conversations, but with adults. Each episode is based on a different topic and the innocence in the children’s conversations is absolutely adorable.
4. Vi-Hart
If you’re a math nerd like me, you’ll love Vi-Hart’s math videos. My friend showed them to me in high school, but then I forgot about her videos for a while. Until in one of my recent classes, my professor pulled one up! They’re definitely a really fun twist on math and she teaches you how to make really cool doodles in the process!
5. NigaHiga (Ryan Higa)
Ryan Higa is the master of YouTube. His main channel, “NigaHiga”, has the significance where “niga” means “rant” in Japanese and “Higa” is his last name. I’ve been watching his videos since 2006, and they never fail to cheer me up. Whenever I’m feeling a little down, I always turn to Ryan’s videos. He’s so charismatic and punny, it automatically makes my day turn around. He’s also my dad’s favorite YouTuber which is definitely saying something if you knew my dad. Whenever he wants to see his new videos he says, “Catherine, come pull up that funny Asian boy on the computer.” He means Ryan Higa, the greatest YouTuber ever.
