The 10 Places I'm Dying To Visit

Coming from someone who has never left the country, the desire to travel around the world in 80 days is very real. I want nothing more than to have the chance to explore everything and anything. I want to collect little pieces of culture, along with some souvenirs, as I hop from place to place. The best way to accomplish something is to write it down, so I decided to create my own travel bucket list. And trust me, I plan to check off every place on the list.

1. England

There isn't a day I don't think about what it would be like to travel all over England, whether it be by backpacking it or staying in fancy, overly expensive hotels. For as long as I can remember I've wanted to fly across the pond and immerse myself in the British culture, touring not only the main tourist spots, but also driving out into the country and away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities.

2. Australia

I think I could happily lay in the hot Australian sun for the rest of my life, occasionally taking breaks to dip into that crystal blue ocean I've heard so much about, swim above the great barrier reef and make my way to Sydney to see fireworks bloom over the Sydney Opera House.

3. Spain

A bright and beautiful country with so many places to visit such as the Gothic Quater in Barcelona, the Royal Palace of Madrid, the Sagrada Familia and so many beautiful beaches. I want to dance through the cities and eat food that's so good my tongue will still be tingling days later.

4. Italy

It's almost as if I can taste the cannoli from here, but not really. I want to float along in a gondola, taste real pizza, tour through beautiful cities like Rome, Venice and Florence. I want to see the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Vatican and be a part of the beautiful scenery for just a moment in time.

5. Greece

Greece is home amazing artwork, temples and buildings so beautiful in their history that viewing them in person would be an honor. I want to stand in front of the Parthenon and marvel at this amazing piece of history still standing tall and proud.

6. Scotland

The home of the Loch Ness monster has always held some appeal to me; but now more than ever I want to explore the castles along the Scottish Highlands and countryside, and wander through Edinburgh in search of medieval castles and learn about a place I truly don't know enough about.

7. Ireland

My fascination with Ireland stems from the fact that the Shire is being built there, I mean seriously, that is too cool! Not only would I love to visit the Shire, but also travel through Ireland while stopping to see St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Dublin Castle, the Cliffs of Moher and I also wouldn't mind kissing the Blarney Stone.

8. Africa

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to go on a safari. I want to see wild animals in their natural habitat, instead of in a zoo, and feel completely at peace and connected with the world around me. I also wouldn't mind making a pit stop in Egypt to see the pyramids.

9. Greenland

I want to experience the wonder that I've heard the Northern Lights are in this beautiful country. I want to whale watch, kayak around glaciers and sink my body slowly in to hot springs, all the while taking in the beautiful country.

10. Iceland

Home of the vikings. I want to see the volcanoes, glaciers and caves that were once home to the vikings and learn about their culture straight from their homeland, as well as experience all the wondrous cities and special places that make up Iceland.

The world is a very large and diverse place, and I want to experience a little piece of it all.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
