As a first time freshman attending college this fall, it can be really hard to pack up all your things and move to somewhere else for 7-8 months. It can also be very difficult to adjust, like going from having a room to yourself or your sibling to two or three girls you've never met before (or you thankfully have met prior). But there are certain stages that everyone goes through when they start to pack and when the big day comes, they finally move into college. These are the stages of moving into college:
1. I'm so excited to go dorm shopping!
Most people can agree that their favorite pastime for when college season comes around is dorm shopping because you get to buy all of your bedding, wall decorations, desk supplies, etc. It gives you a good and prepared feeling.
2. Time to start packing!
You can't help but feel excited when all your things are being packed into boxes and totes.
3. The college feels are real.

4. The tears (at least for some).
People then realize they also have to leave their best friends and their pets, which can be really hard for some of us.
5. Finally having everything packed.

6. The morning of.
The day has come. College is finally here and you know it's too early for you and your family to be driving up. You just want a few more minutes in bed but know you have an exciting year to look forward to!
7. The move in.
Moving boxes is not all that glorious but you know it is one step closer to a new/continuing chapter in your life.
8. Meeting/seeing your roommate.
You're either meeting your roommate for the first time or you requested each other, and you both immediately know you're going to create a lot of memories together.
9. Finally getting organized.
After unpacking everything, all you want to do is fall back on your bed and take a well needed nap.
10. "Oh s***, I forgot _______!"
And lastly, when you're all unpacked and relaxed and go to look for the one thing you need, you realize you forgot it at home.
Good luck to everyone with their studies this year!
