Dear Daddy,
I have always looked up to you and wanted to be just like you from the minute I saw you. You have been my constant hero, my caregiver, my provider, my teacher, my everything. I remember as a kid and I would cut my knee, you were always there to make me feel better. As I have gotten old and the wounds are a little more difficult than a simple scratched knee, you are still here for me to comfort me and to hold my hand. You are always willing to wipe away my tears and to offer my solutions to my never-ending problems. Thank you Daddy, for comforting me whenever I need it and for constantly giving me the advice I need to hear.
Thank you for teaching me about Jesus and that He died on the cross for my sins. For teaching me that no matter how great my sins are, Jesus can wash them away. Thank you for teaching me to pray and to ask for forgiveness. You taught me how to be a teacher as well and how to follow God's will for my life, thank you Daddy.
You work a lot but you seem to always be there at my musicals, choir concerts or just to take me to lunch and for that I thank you. Not everyone is as lucky as I have been to have a daddy present in their lives, especially one that constantly gives without complaint. Thank you for all the late night ice-cream runs, the weekly lunch dates, and the time you always have given to me. You may never know what it means to me, but it means the world. Thank you, Daddy, for being a constant.
Daddy, you have taught me the most important things in life. About God, life and boys. As I date, I have been looking for a man like you:someone who loves God, who treats his momma with respect, someone who gives without complaint, a man who will one day do for my kids what you have done for me. Daddy, you have set the bar high. You have accomplished so much in you job, you have raised two great kids, and you sure have a great wife. One day, I want to be the female you. Thank you daddy, for teaching me how a gentleman should act and how a gentleman should treat his lady.
I will always remember our camping trips. The weekends we spent fishing. The lunch dates. You always being a text or call away. I will always look up to you, Daddy. Thank you for supporting me in whatever I decide to do. I know I will always be able to ask you for advice when I need it, no matter how old either of us get! Daddy, thank you for raising me right. I probably have never thanked you like I should, but I want you to know just how much you mean to me.
Love,
Your Little Girl
