I'm not sure what I ever did to deserve someone like you in my life.

To my boyfriend,

Thank you for being my rock, my shoulder to cry on, my partner in crime, my nap partner, and most of all thank you for being my very best friend. I know I am a handful at times, but you always seem to be along for the ride. I am so lucky to have met a soul as beautiful as yours, and I'm grateful for you each and every day. I often forget to thank you for the things that you do for me, and remind you just how important you are to me.

You came into my life about eight months ago, but it feels like I've known you for my entire life (Cliche, I know). I remember how excited I was when I met you, because no one had ever given me the same feeling that you did. I knew right away that you were meant to be in my life, and God brought me to you for a very good reason. Conversation came so easily, and I laughed harder than I had in such a long time with you. It was only a matter of a couple weeks before we became "an item", and I will never be able to thank you enough for all the ways you have changed my life for the better since then.

Thank you for accepting my past, and helping me learn that just because my past is a part of who I am, it will never define me. Thank you for pushing me to be the very best version of myself, whether it's helping me with homework, or a simple "I'm proud of you." Thank you for being able to put up with my moodiness 24/7, and respecting that sometimes I just have a bad day and need to cry about it. I could go on and on, and then on some more about everything you do for me, and how you have made my life a better place the past eight months, but I think I'll just leave it at thank you for being you.

I'm not sure what I ever did to deserve someone like you in my life, but I am so glad to have met you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
