If you didn't already know, "Spongebob Squarepants" is maybe only the best cartoon ever. At one point in our lives, we've all felt the essence of Spongebob – we are all Spongebob. Thanksgiving is celebrated in so many different ways, but we've all experienced similar things before, and who other than Spongebob to sum it up perfectly?
1. Trying to help your mom cook
We've all been there before, trying your best to help out in the kitchen. Maybe it's because there's so much going on and there are still a million things that have to be done, but whatever we try to do only seems to make it worse.
2. Meeting distant relatives
Every year, someone new shows up and you start to question your ancestry. There's no way your family can be this big...right?
3. When you're relatives bombard you with questions
We all know those questions that are bound to come up, and we have to prepare ourselves. At this point, we have them memorized, almost as if they have been scripted since the beginning of time.
4. Before eating
The food stares at you, the smell is eating you alive before you can eat it, and it seems like an eternity before it's time to indulge.
5. After eating
You've basically inhaled the entire table, and if your family is anything like mine, eating is our favorite thing to do and food is a competition.
6. You're so full, but there's still dessert
Just when you think you can't eat anymore, the art of pumpkin pie appears, and suddenly your stomach has miraculously expanded to fit in one more slice.
7. Your relatives slip you money before they leave
Let's face it, there's always at least that one relative that feels for your poor college life and slips you that Jefferson on the down low.
If you learn anything from this, be as animated as Spongebob, eat like Patrick, (don't) be as greedy as Mr. Krabs, and be more thankful than Squidward this Thanksgiving. Hope you have a great holiday!
