To my perfect Big,
I am so grateful that you came into my life. I’ve only known you for less than a year, but it feels like a lifetime. We have so many memories that I couldn’t imagine having with anyone else. I know for the most part we are always goofing around, but I wanted to take this time to truly thank you for all that you do for me.
Thank you for watching endless hours of "The Bachelor" with me. I love your commentary during the program about all the ridiculous things going on. I love how we will wait an hour for the video to load with my sucky wifi just so we can watch 20 minutes before it freezes again. I love our love for Ben and our obsessions over the contestants. Most importantly, I love that you leave your blanket here just in case you fall asleep during the show.
Thank you for picking me up when I am down. Thank you for always asking to hang out whenever I am upset. I love that you can distract me from whatever is tearing me up. Thank you for going to college parties with me even though you feel too old to be there. It’s okay, nobody thinks you are over 20. Thank you for taking me to work with you whenever I don’t feel like being alone. Thank you for closing off one of the dressing rooms for me so that I can do my homework.
Thank you for doing single life with me. You are my go-to date for all the sorority events. They probably wonder if you even graduated. Thank you for always feeding me, telling me how pretty I am, and for picking me up from everywhere. You are the definition of boyfriend goals, but you’re also the definition of perfect single girl goals. You are so independent and carefree. You do your own thing and don’t care if other people like it or not. Most importantly, you know you don’t need a man. You may want one sometimes, but you know you don’t need one.
Thank you for taking me into your family and loving me as if I’ve been there just as long. Thank you for putting up with sib and me. We are a handful, but you love us regardless. Although I don’t understand how sib is called the angel child, thank you for calling me the devil child. I love that you think I’m a rebel and badass. However, writing this appreciation to you should make me the perfect child.
Above all else, thank you for always being there. You always go out of your way for me and I appreciate it so much. Thank you for always knowing exactly what to say and what to do in every situation. Thank you for making sure I stay out of trouble and get my school work done. Thank you for making me laugh when I cry, for supporting me when I feel doubtful, for encouraging me when I get lazy, and for loving me always.
Thank you for being you.
