Dear Guy Best Friend,

If there is one thing we say a lot when we are together, it is probably: NO WE ARE NOT DATING!!! I understand why many people would assume that. We get along so well, you make me laugh overly loud, and we would look like a power couple. However, there are no romantic feelings between us, just a lot of jokes.

You are one of my favorite people on this earth. In times of trouble, you are the only one I feel comfortable calling and venting to. One of the benefits of having such a close guy friend is that guys generally don't care about drama and consequently are able to give me more logical advice about what is right and wrong or what the best solution is. You don't understand how petty and passive aggressive girls can be. When you are upset, you simply just tell me what is wrong. And when I'm the one acting dumb, you have no problem calling me out. You don't understand just how grateful I am for that.

Also, who is better at giving advice about boys than a boy himself? You know what it's like to be a guy better than I do, so hearing your opinion on things really helps me out and keeps me from overthinking. You also make for a great wing-man. You can introduce me to all of your friends, and you give me a whole new perspective to think about when considering a potential suitor. I also like to think I can return the favor by giving you insight into the crazy, chaotic mess that is a girl's brain, and introduce you girls that I think may actually deserve the chance to get to know you. I enjoy our lunch "dates" when we discuss love interests as well as our love of bread and good Italian food.

Overall, I wouldn't trade you for anything or anyone in the world. We have more inside jokes than we can keep track of, we have been there for each other through thick and thin, and we will be each other's best man/woman. Can't wait to see you in a bridesmaid dress (joking....maybe). No, we are not dating, but I still love you and care about you. Thanks for being my best friend.
