Thank You To The One Who Has My Heart

You have done so much, and I could never thank you enough.

Thank You To The One Who Has My Heart
Ashton Fetting

You are the man who made me believe in myself. You showed me a different way of looking at things and before you, I had only been to the city I will call home in a few short months, twice that I can remember. You made me realize the the world extends on beyond this small town and I could never thank you enough. You have truly changed my life in the best way possible.

Thank you for reminding me to love myself

For some this comes really easily, but I have always seen more flaws than anything else. You made me feel beautiful and not in the way parents hope to. You made me look in the mirror and appreciate the flaws along with everything I liked about myself and I loved it as a whole, which is something I never thought I would be able to do.

Thank you for being there

For three and a half years, you have been my best friend and so much more. I talk to you about everything and anything, nothing is awkward and we always manage to talk about something important. Even when we are sitting in the car and saying nothing, I know if I find something I want to talk about you will turn down the music and we will talk through any tough problem we have.

Thank you for the jam sessions

I could never tell you how much I cherish these mostly because even though you are jamming I am usually looking at you laughing because you get so into the songs -- also because you like to make your own lyrics. I do like that you know all of the words to our song, though, and that is the best serenade ever. These jam sessions are more like therapy -- they make you forget all of your problems and that is the best thing I could ask for.

Thank you for not hesitating

You have never hesitated in saying I love you. It took you three months to say it, but since then I haven't went a day without you telling me. I don't go to bed feeling unloved and that is the best thing ever to say. I like that the last person I say goodnight to every night is you.

Thank you for sharing everything

You share everything, from your drink to your family and everything in between. Some of the best times are times we shared something, like the look you give me when you open a pop because you always ask if I want the first drink and usually I say yes (I'm only a little sorry -- the first drink is the best).

Thank you for loving me

You look at me the way nobody has. I am not just a female to you, I am a person and I can feel that when you talk to me and look at me. I love it when you ask to brush my hair or braid it, even when I act like it is a lot to get off of the couch -- I love the way you ask and I love when you play with my hair.

Thank you for loving my family, too

I know they aren't yours, yet, but I appreciate you spending time with my brother and playing cards with my parents. My parents are a big part of who I am and I am grateful that you understand and respect that. You gave both of my brothers a chance and that is more than most people have done -- thank you.

Thank you for being driven

You have always known what you wanted, and even though I have changed three or four times, I hope to stay with what I have planned now. I love watching you talk about what you hope to do one day, you are passionate about it and your eyes glitter with excitement when you talk about it.

Thank you for reminding me to be the best person possible because without that I would have never gotten out of the dark place I was in before you. You were my friend when nobody else was and I love you for that. I love you for everything, actually. I know that no matter what, you won't let me down because you are a wonderful person inside and out.

Love for a thousand years,

Your Girlfriend

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
