Dear Mom,

Mother's Day is just around the corner and I cannot help but think about all you have done for me in the past 20 years and counting. I want you to know my appreciation for you and just how much I love you. I consider myself so lucky to be able to call you my mother.

I honestly cannot imagine what my life would be like without you in it, all I know is that it would be a mess. Our daily phone calls, your big hugs, the daily motivation you give me and of course your lovely smile I would be lost without. You are one of the most important people in my life and I don't think that I tell you enough just how much I love you.

So Mom, I want to thank you. I want to thank you for shaping me into the person I am today.

Thank you for always being there for me no matter what. Even on my moodiest days you never give up on me. You help me with whatever I could possibly need and are constantly reminding me to keep going, keep working and to never give up.

Thank you for all that you give me. I know I can be needy at times and craving an adventure or your attention but you never fail to give it to me. I might not express it enough but thank you for the big things and the little things you have given me throughout my life. You're a giver and it's just one of your amazing qualities.

Thank you for always listening to me. Whether I'm ranting about professors, or petty drama within my friend group, you are always there to lend a hand. You give me the best advice on how to deal with my day-to-day issues and I love having you as someone I can always go to.

Thank you for being brutally honest with me when I need it most. You always know what to say even when it's not what I want to hear. I've learned throughout the years that you are always right (well, almost always).

Thank you for taking care of me. Whenever I'm sick you are always right by my bed side and most importantly, lifting me up when I'm not feeling at my best.

Thank you for believing in me. I have been all over the place on what I want to pursue after college and through every mind change you always believe that I can do it and are always right by my side.

Thank you for showing me what a loving relationship is like. Seeing yours and Dad's relationship has shown me what I should be looking for in life. You two are the best role models I could possibly have.

Thank you for loving me. You say it's easy but I know I have my flaws and I can be rebellious at times but through it all, I will always know that you love me which is more than I could ever ask for.

Thank you for being my mom. I could not have wished for a better person to be my mother than you.

I love you, Mom, more than you will ever know. I wish nothing but happiness for you and I love making you proud every day. No matter what life throws your way you always find time for me and are always making sure I am OK. You're the best mom and I hope you never forget that. Your beauty is glowing inside and out, you're as kind as can be and even more loving. You're all that I wish to be as a mother some day and I can't wait to continue learning from you and having you as my biggest fan.
