I would like to take a chance to write an open letter to my quadmates. Without you, I don't know what I would do.
Thank you for taking me in when no one else would.
It's crazy to think that this time last year, we didn't know each other. The three of you had already established your own friendships before I came along. Everyone told you girls that adding someone new would be risky. Yet, all three of you took the time to get to know me individually. Together, all of you made a decision to let me in, despite only knowing me for a couple of weeks. Thank you for taking that risk.
Thank you for listening to my rants.
At the end of a long day, I have a lot to say. There is nothing better than throwing my book bag down and walking into our connecting rooms. Even if it's about the most trivial topic, thank you for taking time out of your own busy days to listen to me.
Thank you for providing a network.
I have met some of my best friends through the three of you. People who were in your lives way before they were in mine. Now, I cannot imagine living without these friends. Without the three of you, I would have never had the opportunity to meet these wonderful people. The three of you always made sure I was included. Thank you for welcoming me into your circle.
Thank you for accepting me for me.
The three of you have seen me during some of my best, worst, and strangest moments. Yet, somehow you all still keep me around. No one entertains my pointless facts, obsessive oatmeal making, and celebrity mispronunciations like you girls. Thank you for correcting my grammar and never judging me for sleeping until 10 a.m. (every...single...day...).
Thank you for keeping life interesting.
I am extremely grateful that none of us have the same major. My quad is made up of four unique majors: education, nursing, criminal justice and exercise science. Our separate classes allow us to branch out and make friends in our respective majors. Our individual workload will always be a source of frustration and conversation. Four different majors also allow us to hear about different professors, subjects and plans for the future. I cannot wait to see where our respective paths led us. Thank you for opening my mind to new ideas and lifestyles.
Thank you for being my home away from home.
I'm an only child and sharing my space has never been easy. Living with three other girls has provided me with countless laughs, bags of Tostitos and priceless company. Even when I'm the only one in the room, Thank you for never making me feel alone. I truly feel at home when I'm with the three of you. Thanks for noticing me.
