My fifth semester of college has just come to an end and I've been spending some time reflecting on the past five months. This semester, without a doubt, was the best I've ever had. I don't remember another time that I was so happy with myself and with life in general, and I believe that has much to do with the people that I was surrounded with.
A lot of amazing relationships helped make this semester incredible, but I think what made the biggest difference was my two roommates.

So thank you for letting me into your lives when I didn't really have anywhere else to go. We weren't all that close when we agreed to move in together this year, but now I can't imagine my life without you. Thank you for making the transition into being my best friends so natural and flawless. As soon as I moved in I never had to be alone, whether it was stopping by the bar across the street for a martini or watching the entire first season of Jane the Virgin with me in less than a week. I never knew how much of a blessing it was to always have someone to take walks with.
Thank you for always listening to me and doing things you didn't have to in order to cheer me up. As little as it was, I will never forget the time you went and bought me a milkshake because I was upset. You listen to me complain about things that aren't important and don't judge me when I do stupid things or have really weird moments.
Thank you for dealing with me at my worst. Thank you for taking me to urgent care one week and then dealing with me stuck on the couch with a cold only a week later. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you accepting my weird quirks and allowing me to be myself. You know I'm secretly an 80-year-old woman and just want to do a puzzle sometimes, yet am also a five-year-old child. I don't know why I sing nonstop after one glass of wine, but I'm so grateful it doesn't completely annoy you.
Thank you for supporting me no matter what. Your prayers for my grades mean as much to me as the fact that I will always have at least two likes on an Instagram picture. And thank you for introducing me to your differing views and helping me learn more about the world in general.
I will never ever be able to show just how grateful I am for all that you've done for me. No roommates are perfect, but at this point in time, I can't think of one complaint. I guess it's because all of these other things just mean so much more. So thank you for always being there for me, and know I would do anything for you too.
