To My Person,

I know this may sound cliche, but there's so much that I need to thank you for. I can't even begin to imagine how to repay you for everything you've ever done for me, through the good and the bad.

I want to thank you for always being honest with me, whether it's telling me that my outfit looks horrendous or telling me to stop talking to that sleaze of a guy who didn't treat me right. Honesty is always key, and you're the best for watching out for me.

Thank you for letting me go on and on about that guy that I'm obsessed with, for understanding how happy he makes me and for letting me tell you each and every detail of our first date. I don't know who else would do that for me.

Thank you for making me happy no matter what's going on in my life, for always making me roll on the floor, struggling to breathe because you always know what to say when I'm upset. For being down to play a quick game of "Just Dance" when I want to let loose and forget about everything going on. You're the real MVP.

I know people always say this to their friends, but thank you for always being there for me, for dropping your plans with your new guy just to come be with me when I need you. For knowing how to console me when the worst thing in the whole world has happened to me. I can't express it enough.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for absolutely not judging me. EVER. For understanding that sometimes I don't quite make the best decisions. Thank you for not judging me when I thought it would be a good idea to wear heavy black eyeliner and dye my hair red. You da bomb.

A big thank you for seeing me at my complete worst and still loving me unconditionally. Thank you for staying up with me when I had panic attacks and didn't know what to do with myself, for being there when I completely hit rock bottom. No one could pick me up the way you did.

Thanks for putting up with my neuroticism and craziness, for calming me down when I thought my world was falling apart, for assuring me that everything would work out in the end, if it's meant to be. Thank you for taking the irrational thoughts out of my head when I thought things weren't gonna work out for me. You're my sidekick for life.

Thank you for always wanting to eat with me at any time of the day. Whether it's at 1 a.m. when we're hammered and craving Chinese food, or our routine Sunday night Chipotle runs. I can always count on you for being a foodie like me. And that's the absolute best.

A tremendous thank you for always making time for me. Quality time these days with our busy schedules is so hard to find, but somehow you always make the time, no matter how busy you might be. For setting time aside to let me talk about myself when no one else could possibly want to listen. That's true friendship, if you ask me.

Thank you for supporting my decisions no matter what (even if they're pretty bad). Thank you for reassuring me that even though I might have messed up, that I won't make the same mistake the next time, for having faith in me when no one else does. Thank you for telling me that everyone throws up at least once from being intoxicated, and it's just a part of life. How could I ever repay you?

Thank you for letting me cry to you, for understanding that sometimes I'm a hormonal mess and I need to just let it all out. Thank you for letting me cry about how beautiful "The Notebook" is, and thank you for letting me cry about that boy who obviously isn't worth my time anymore if he's making me act like this, for letting me sob like a little baby and telling me that it's okay, for comforting me when I miss my uncle more than anything and letting me know he's with me every second of the day. You're like the sister I never had.

Thank you for making me feel like the number one person in the room, for telling me that I'm absolutely killing that little black dress I'm wearing out to the club on Friday night, for letting me know that I'm having a great hair day and that my eyebrows are on point. It's people like you that make the world go 'round.

Thanks for watching movies with me and pigging out when I just don't feel like going out. For letting me be my lazy, gross self: wearing an oversized sweatshirt with my hair in a messy bun and no makeup, for not judging me for when I eat a whole box of Goobers and bowl of popcorn. It's always good to kick back and relax with my number one person. You're the best.

This one is so important. Thank you so much for always being able to pick up right where we left off, no matter how long it's been, for still laughing at my stupid jokes from high school and still remember what I'm talking about. I love that there's never an awkward silence between us, EVER. Thank you for understanding that even if we can't always see each other all the time, things will still be the same, no matter what. You're awesome times a thousand.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you for always believing in me. For being happy whenever I succeed, for cheering me on each and every day, for encouraging me to be my best self no matter what. For being even more excited for me than I am when something goes my way.

I can say thank you as many times as I want, but that will never be enough. You're my person and always will be.

And for that, I love you like a sister. Forever and always.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
