My respect for Ariana Grande has exponentially increased.

Most people love Ariana. She's pretty, her voice is a-MAZING and she's super stylish and nice. Yeah, I didn't really fall for that. I just thought that whatever character she played in Nickelodeon's Victorious just came to life and now she looks like a toddler compared to Beyonce and Lady Gaga. I liked her voice enough to acknowledge her as a singer, but I never liked her vibe. Until now.

Her new smash, thank u, next is all about heartbreaks and drama. She directly references her multiple ex boyfriends/fiancée (Sean, Ricky, Pete Davidson, Mac Miller) and how she's getting over them. Yeah, most skeptical people would say it's just another love song, but if you think about it, Ariana's positivity shines even brighter from the hellish two years she's been having.

So many things have happened:

1. Her concert was the setting for a terrorist bombing and multiple fans were injured and killed.

2. Mac Miller, a great friend and ex boyfriend of hers, passed away and many trolls online blamed her for his death.

3. Her failed engagement to Pete Davidson

Just by looking at this list, you can see it's not extensive, but quality > quantity. She was mourning after her fans, her friend and ex lover and gave up her chance of settling down. This is insane.

This year, I also lost someone close to me to Death, someone who I saw regularly and seeing them only in pictures doesn't make any sense. I burst into tears every time and it haunts me. It's scary and intimidating. Ariana has to not only deal with her personal emotions, but to have trolls who blame her on top of that? Man, I would throw hands.

But, she doesn't. She keeps cool and personally grieves and treasures the memories with Mac Miller and even performed another concert after the Manchester attack. It's something unexpected, yet something so brave and charming from her part and shows her fans and the world that she'll always get up and radiate positivity. That grace and that willingness of not letting negativity reach into the depths of her minds shows me that I could do it too. That I can defeat whatever it is that's dragging me down internally and externally showing others what kindness and love looks like.

Now her split with Pete. Wow. She has an entire album dedicated to the pure love that she had for the SNL character and even though everyone loved it, it was an entire album. That lady has some balls.

Even after this series of unfortunate events, Ariana is still so positive and is still spreading love and happiness and hope for everyone. Honestly, it's inspiring. She lets the world see her vulnerable side and misfortunes only to own up to them and address the situation with the most amount of positivity I've ever seen in a celebrity. She uses her platform to not only share whatever it is she wanted to promote, but she uses it as an example. An example for humanity and how we should respond and handle negative and hard situations. She leads by example and to that I say, wow you're doing amazing sweetie.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
