Ever since I was little, I had a thing for tennis. When I was young, I didn't really do much with playing but every time I saw a tennis racket, I would pick it up and just swing around. As I got older, I started actually hitting a ball, and one day probably at the age of seven, I went to a tennis court and hit around for a bit. The feeling of being on the court and hitting around was indescribable. It was great to start at a young age and at that point I knew I wanted to start playing more. At that point, I had an idea of what I wanted to do when I got older.

As years passed, and all the times on the courts, I saw my weaknesses turn into strengths. With effort and encouragement, anything can happen. I put my mind to it, and focused and it made me succeed in whatever I did. When I got to the age of 12, I got my first tennis racket and started going to the high school near me to hit around to have some fun.

The following year, I was in high school and I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I signed up for tennis, and jumped right onto the court with happiness and joy. I was nervous and happy at the same time, because I couldn't believe what was happening. The beginning of the season was horrible because most of the time, we were running and sprinting. After about a month, it got fun and we were playing a lot more. It was a really fun experience and I was so happy that I joined the team.

As time went by, I met some people and I got close with a few of them. They were all really nice. At times, some of us would plan a day just to meet at the tennis courts to practice more. As much as it seems like a friendly thing, it is also very competitive. Everyone wants to be at the top or near it but everyone couldn't get that. I tried my best, but since I was a freshman at that time, I was pretty low in the ranking. But with more time and practice, I knew that I could get better and better.

I ended up playing tennis for all four years of high school and it was one of the best things that have happened in my life. By senior year, I was almost at the top of varsity. I'm really upset that it is over, but once this snow is all gone, I will be right back out there.

In life, there are many opportunities to do what you want or just try something new. Every since I was young, I knew that I wanted to play tennis.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
