5 Tailgate Snacks That Are So Good It'll Make Everyone Forget About The Game They Came To Watch

Now that football season is gearing up, I know there are people out there who're beginning to scour Pinterest for the best tailgating ideas.

Football is an important American past time, but so is food. So here are 5 cute and easy tailgating foods that will hopefully last time halftime.

This recipe, found at Sarah's Bake Studio, is not only simple but adorable. It's got the mix of sweet and salty, while also being completely in theme with the party. It's a great handheld snack, and one that will definitely keep the little ones at the party entertained, too.

2. Buffalo chicken skins: a perfect, spicy handheld.

Potato skins are practically a party staple. They can be found at any game-day party, as well as any sports bar during the off-season. These, though, found on Three Olives Branch's website, put a spin on the classic food by using buffalo chicken. It adds a little bit of spice to a dish that's all about the toppings!

3. Honey mustard snack mix: taking snacks to a whole new level.

This recipe, found at Julie's Eats and Treats, genuinely makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Football parties are all about hand-held foods, and this finger food is definitely going to get you coming back for more. The honey mustard flavor, combined with the chex mix, is definitely going to be a tangy treat that everybody will love!

4. JalapeƱo guacamole: a classic, with a twist.

Just like the potato skins, this recipe puts a simple, yet awesome, twist on a party favorite. In this recipe, Cooking Divine, puts jalapeƱo peppers into the guacamole mix, for some extra oomph. It's sure to keep your guests on their toes!

5. And, finally, a dessert: football dirt cups.

Of course, you've got to have dessert for your guests! This one, found on The First Year, is a perfect one for your party. Not only is it an adorable football theme, but the clean up is easy, and it's pretty simple to make.

In the end, no matter what food you pick for your party, your guests are going to have fun. These foods, though...will blow your guests away!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
