Will you survive?

I'm sure you have all heard that Donald Trump is now the Republican nominee. A few months ago I don't think we would have seen this coming, but the reality is that he now has a legitimate chance at being the future President of the United States- scary isn't it? I'm worried and I'm sure a lot you out there are as well. Let's be real other countries are worried for us! So I've come up with a few quick tips on how we all can survive if he wins the election.

1. Plan On Fleeing to Another Country

The easiest way to avoid the Trump effect is by simply packing your bags and heading to another country. Now, I know we all cant afford to just get up and go anywhere at anytime, but there are still a couple months left until we find out who the next POTUS is. I would suggest saving, or if you're still a student consider going to school in another country. Germany and a lot of the Scandinavian countries offer free schooling and that could buy you at least two years (and hopefully by then Trump won't be considered for a second term).

2. Prepare for the World to End

We all know that if Trump is President things won't go so...smoothly. With his lack of experience (and a lot of other things) things are bound to breakdown. It's a clear sign of the apocalypse so I would suggest watching a lot of Walking Dead episodes and stocking up on canned goods.

3. Wait for His Impeachment

Eventually Trump is going to make a mistake. Whether it involves a policy here in the U.S or our relationship with other countries- Trump will mess up. In order for a President to be impeached they have to be involved with bribery, treason, or a crime. Now I don't know which Trump is bound to do, but with his lack of political knowledge I feel as though he would do something wrong and not even realize it. The possibilities are endless.

I know there aren't many options, but I hope they help if Trump wins. In the mean time make sure you're prepared and ready to vote when the time comes. It's shocking how many people choose to not vote because they aren't registered in time, or haven't done their research and don't know who to vote for. If you want to learn more about what Hillary Clinton stands for you can find out here. If you want to read about why Donald Trump is the worst candidate for president, you can find more here. Get more information and make sure you vote!!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
