The clock is ticking; school is coming. Classes are just around the corner and all students are about to embark on another year in school; about to hang up their summer freedom and pull out the books, pens, and sleepless nights. Teachers are preparing for the next school year. So in these last few days of summer, I think it's best to just say goodbye.
1. We will miss the the sunshine. And even though the sun will still shine when we start school, it just won't be the same as when it was summer. Instead of basking in the mid-day sun, we will be stuck in class.
2. We will say goodbye to all our free time. Now it will be occupied by school work.
4. Late nights having fun vs. late nights doing homework. While we will still be able to have fun, most nights should be spent doing school work.
5. And we move forward to Fall and Winter where the weather will get cold. So we can say goodbye as we enjoy the little bit of time we have left with the warm weather.
As we say goodbye to so many things, we get to say hello to a few as well. Saying goodbye doesn't have to be all bad...
1. Hello sweaters, boots, and scarfs; as the Fall and Winter months approach, the winter apparel will get to come out to keep us nice and toasty warm.
2. Hello Fall and Winter drinks. Once it gets chilly outside, our favorite wintery drinks will make a comeback. (Ex. Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Peppermint Hot Chocolate, and Gingerbread Lattes.) Just be prepared for those long lines at Starbucks.
3. Hello Fall and Winter holidays. Personally, I love Christmas but there are quite a few to look forward.
4. Hello friends, new and old. School time is always a great time to meet up with friends that you haven't seen in a while and make new ones while you're at it.
5. Hello to so many things that make school time fun.
Goodbye summer and hello school! Have a great year everyone!
