It seems that the leaves are changing colors and falling too fast. Pumpkin spice flavors have taken over every coffee shop and restaurant. The sun is setting earlier and cool nights are setting in. The best thing to do at a time like this is to lament the summer moments that we are going to have to wait a whole year to enjoy again. These are five reasons why summer is the best season:

1. Swim, swim, swim!!!

No matter where you go in the summer you always seem to find water! It could be the ocean, a lake, a river or a waterfall-- any of these places are perfect for a cool down spot. There is just something about water that makes your every day responsibilities drift away and helps you focus on relaxing.

2. Ice cream! (in any form)

Where ever you are, what ever time of the day it is, ice cream is always the answer. It could just be one scoop or a hot fudge sundae, no one will judge how much you eat because it's summer.

3. Bonfires

Nothing is more satisfying than roasting a perfect golden brown marshmallow for your s'more. Just sitting around a bonfire with friends and family in the fire light makes for a night full of laughs and in depth talks. Either way you end up feeling refreshed by the good company and good outdoors.

4. Night skies

You don't know this experience till you have laid down and looked up at the stars. The sight is truly breathtaking, and if you are patient you might get lucky and see a shooting star.

5. Everything in general

Summer is the best season hands down. It can be warm weather with the car windows rolled down because of the uncontrollable heat or being back home with your family and friends. No matter what, summer is the answer to every problem because everything is better when you wear flip-flops!
