If you have a house on the cape, know someone that does, or occasionally go for a quick visit; Falmouth, MA is the place to be. The beach air and country music are everywhere. The activities are endless and the memories made with friends will last a lifetime. If you're lucky, maybe your parents will somehow allow you and your best friend to be roommates for the summer.

For anyone who spends their summers down in Falmouth, these are the go to places before the summer comes to an end:

1. Old Silver Beach

As obvious as this is, OSB is the place to be during the summer months. Spending your days at this beach are sure to be some of the best days you'll have this summer.

2. DJ's wings

If you have had DJ's, you know what I'm talking about. If not, make sure to add this place to your summer 2016 bucket list. The cheap prices and great atmosphere make this an awesome place to eat, and of course, the food is delicious!

3. Anejo

You have not experienced Mexican food until dining at Anejo in Falmouth Center. It might be a bit pricey but it is worth every penny! A night spent here is a night well spent. (Be sure to order verde sauce on your burrito!)

4. Smitty's

If you're an ice cream lover, Smitty's is the place for you. The homemade ice cream is made right outside; doesn't get much fresher than that. Smitty's is a great way to spend the end of the day enjoying an ice cream with your BFFs.

5. The Vineyard

Taking a day to take the ferry down to the vineyard is a definite to-do this summer. On a nice day, Martha's Vineyard is one of the most beautiful sights to see. And of course to enjoy some shopping along the way.

6. The Trap House

At the end of the night, there's always the after-party after a day well spent. "The trap house" refers to the friend's house all of your friends are staying at. Having a fire and making some smores, along with some extremely loud music are where the best memories come from. Even if it ends with a stranger sleeping on the bathroom floor...

If you spend any of your summers down in Falmouth, be sure to do a few of these things before the nice weather ends.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
