Now that you've closed the last textbook and submitted your last final paper for the semester, it is time for that next big project. It's time for lying out in the sun in a bikini or rocking those Daisy Duke shorts. However, your episodes of stress eating this semester while studying has prevented your ability to prepare your summer bod. Now that summer vacation has begun, it is time to stop procrastinating on your workouts. And as you begin your quest for that perfect summer bod, a few thoughts generally cross your mind...
1. I'm going to look so hot after I'm done working out!
You start imaging how great that teensy-weenie yellow polka dot bikini is going to look on you after you get through this whole workout thing.
2. This feels great!
Whoever said that exercising gives you energy is right after all!
3. *Panting* I'm dying *more panting*
I lied earlier. I feel like death. I can't do this. When is this over? Why did I do this to myself? Is this really worth the abs?
4. Why do my thighs keep rubbing together?
Apparently, I do not possess the coveted "thigh gap". But the chub rub makes it look like I've tried, right?
5. Is that guy checking me out?
Oh heck yes, I knew this was a good idea. Now to put on the seductive look with the killer body in progress.
6. Nope, he's just staring at the sweaty half-dead creature that is me.
Well, I tried at least. I'd throw in a hair flip, but my ponytail is all sweaty and stuck to my neck.
7. Am I done yet?
Thinking about how much of your workout is left makes you do some desperate math ... so if I make it one more lap, that's half of half the mile. I just have to make it a total of three halves of half the mile to make one mile.
8. If it's hurting, it's working, right?
Everything hurts. I literally cannot move. HALP. I better be skinny when I wake up tomorrow. Who am I kidding?
9. Maybe I'll just stick with the one piece swimsuit...
You forgot how much it sucked the last time you tried to work out. You start to wonder if this healthy lifestyle is really for you or not.
10. Woo! Now to celebrate with some hard-earned rewards!
Chocolate is good for your heart, right?
