As the semester is ending, investing time in your studies can be incredibly discouraging. One thing I have found to be helpful is finding new places around town to study. A change in atmosphere can be that effective push you need to get you through your studies. Rather than your usual study spot in the library, get out and explore a new environment to help you persevere through these last few weeks of school.
Check out this list of fun little study spots around Louisville!
1. Highland Coffee Company
1140 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY
When in doubt, a trip to the Highlands is always a wonderful choice, Highland Coffee Company is no exception. With its "chill" atmosphere, great music, and tasty treats, it certainly makes for a good working atmosphere.
2. Quills Coffee
327 W Cardinal Blvd
The Highlands, Louisville, KY
930 Baxter Avenue
New Albany, IN
137 E Market Street
With three locations near campus, the world's best cup of coffee is always in your reach.
3. Waterfront Park
There are not many things better than visiting Waterfront Park on a nice day in Louisville. This location is wonderful when you need to get some reading or writing done. All you need are some comfy clothes, a blanket, and your book (and sunscreen, if you are like me).
4. Your Parent's House
This may surprise you, but going to your parent's house to do homework is one of the most peaceful things to do. You'll get in a nice visit, and most likely homemade food as well. I promise you will feel super accomplished when you leave.
5. Day's Espresso and Coffee
1420 Bardstown Road
This coffee shop was established in this exact location in 1994 and was recently voted best coffee house on Bardstown Road by Louisville Magazine.
6. Central Park
This simple, close to campus park could be what you need to motivate you through those last 30 pages of your reading.
Sometimes, all it takes is just a change of scenery to help motivate you to complete your work. These are just a few of many new places in Louisville to try to push through these last few weeks! You got it!
