We all tell ourselves we'll get in shape for spring break. We're ready to finally put some muscle on our body and flex on the beach. But then we realize that eating fruit and working out isn't as easy as the Nike fit app makes it seem.
Right after Christmas break, you make your plan. You'll eat healthier and work out more... After all, you only have two months until spring break.
Your goal is to look like Candice Swanepoel. So you decide to start tonight.
But your friends decide to order pizza for dinner, and who can resist pizza?
You tell yourself you'll have just one piece of pizza... or seven.
You keep telling yourself you'll go to the gym, but you seem to have no time in the day... even though you took a three-hour nap.
You decide you'll skip the workout. You did walk all the way to your chemistry class today, after all.
While laying in your bed, doing nothing, you start craving something sweet.
Dark chocolate is good for you, right? ...even if you eat the whole box?
You remind yourself that doctors say dark chocolate is healthy, and tell yourself that you will have a healthy day tomorrow...
...and then you remember tomorrow is Friday.
You say you'll take it easy this weekend, but once your friends start getting ready for the night...
Things go downhill.
At the end of the weekend you realize all you've done is eat, sleep and procrastinate.
You finally make it to the gym (first time for everything) and come to terms with the fact that you can't run like you could in high school.
So you decide lifting will be less embarrassing. Dumbbells aren't that heavy right?
Wrong, apparently. You look around and people are successfully lifting much heavier weights than you are...
And before you know it, spring break is in a week, and you realize that you aren't ready at all.
At this point, you can do one of two things.
You either cram in all the workouts and healthy food that you can in a week.
Or you embrace it.
Because no matter what, you're going to have an amazing time with your best friends!
So shop for some cute bathing suits or pick out the perfect outfits, and get excited for SPRING BREAK!
