On July 4th, 1776, the United States of America was born. A country that was found on capitalism and the principles of Christianity. We were a nation that was united under the belief that was against tyranny. Well on November 9th, 2016, our beloved nation did not seem to be so united.
Donald J. Trump was elected to be our 45th president of the United States. I honestly thought that majority of the Electoral College who vote in favor for Hillary Clinton. But when I woke up that Wednesday morning, I honestly was in shock that Trump is going to be our next president.
I was shocked because I have found the democratic party has manipulated the minds of many Americans that i thought Hillary Clinton was going to win. The liberal media to me has poisoned the minds of so many Americans. The media has shaped people into having such polarized views of opposing political parties. November 9th was the day that Americans saw how much hypocrisy and radicalism was in our society.
A must say that I am not for Trump, however, Hillary Clinton scares me to death. As a rhetoric minor, I often study public speakers. Well for the duration of the Clinton campaign, Clinton had shown to us that she could be trusted. In many of her speeches, I could just sense and see the synthetic demeanor in her attitude. I simply cannot trust her. Yet this article is not about my political views. This article is about the radicalism we are facing as a nation.
So Trump won, right? So your a liberal, right? So what are you going to do about it?
First off, rioting and threatening people just because they happen to disagree politically is not how you accept loss. By all means protest, but please do not riot by destroying communities. I am not a Republican, but at least I understand that this is our nation, not the presidents.
Also, I do understand that radicals on the right side hate Obama and want him killed because he is "Muslim". That is not right either, it is radicalism. What I am simply saying is that radicals on both sides are creating such a disturbance our country that it is dividing our nation instead of unifying it.
Instead of saying #NotMyPresident, maybe you should say #IDontLikeTrumpBecause and then state your case. I mean it is your own opinion and you should be grateful that you live in a country that allows you to have your freedom of speech. The democratic party has influenced much of the media that I am thankful for media sources like "Fox News". Do I agree with them? Hell no! But if I see both sides political views before I make a decision, then I can truly decide whether or not I like a candidate more.
The whole goal of this article is to present to you that radicalism is not what America should tolerance, but the idea of understanding other people's views has go to be promoted! We as a nation should rise up against racism, but also corruption and the lies. We have a right to know what our nation is up to. If you are a liberal and hate the Trump is deporting "illegal" aliens, then you should hate Obama too. Did you know that Obama deported hundreds of thousands illegal immigrants throughout his campaign? No? Then it is most likely because you are getting your information from the media and not from research. Media is all a bunch of opinions and not facts.
At the end of the day, Trump is our president and he is already starting the process to continue his "Make America Great Again" campaign. He might not be your president, but he is America's president. If you want to leave, then by all means... LEAVE! Regardless of the presidential outcome, I will always be here to stay! America is my country. I am an immigrant who has obtained citizenship and I am done with the radicalism. If you want to start moving forward, then you have to listen to your opponent's wants and needs.
We have a right to express our freedom of speech and I think it is great to see people protest. However, when people are out there beating up everything that says the word "Trump" on it, then that to me is radical. How would you like it if someone ripped up your Clinton sign?
I understand if you are frustrated with Trump's win. Instead of trying to bring everyone down around you, maybe you should start by accepting the current situation and try to learn how we can have a better outcome in the future. Your voice matters, your vote manners, and most important you as a citizen matters! However, do all the non-radicals a favor and stop with the radicalism and voice your opinion in a civilized manner.
