As if you ever thought that The University of Alabama's Sorority row couldn't get any better, it most definitely has during this past week. Along with a brand new SupeStore, a Starbucks (featuring a drive-thru window) has just opened. Conveniently enough, these genius architects, builders and store-owners placed the store on Sorority row off of Paul W Bryant Dr., steps away from all of the sorority houses and Tutwiler Residence Hall.
If you are in a sorority at UA, you know how well this Starbucks is strategically placed and how well it is going to do. This Starbucks will probably make an insane amount of revenue.
Besides the fact that it's in a prime location, there are a few other factors that contribute to making this Starbucks so great. The Starbucks is extremely spacious, including two levels of study space. The Starbucks like any other Starbucks downstairs, but the upstairs is quite unique. The upstairs loft has comfy chairs along with a spacious study area to set up laptops.
The new store is also using Clover, a new coffee-brewing system. Clover is similar to a Keurig in the sense that it is a personal brew and uses coffee beans from Latin America, Africa, Asia, etc.
So rather than walking across campus to the Ferguson center when you need your Starbucks fix, all you have to do is walk a few steps outside of Tutwiler or your Sorority house to get that caramel macchiato or iced vanilla latte you have been craving to feed your extreme caffeine addiction.
All in all, bring on the chaos and madness after recruitment ends. This is one of the most convenient things to ever happen to UA sorority girls. This could potentially be the best idea in the history of mankind (or the worst).
